Flying Pigs in tdomas

If you're in Thomas, WV, pass by the Flying Pig. Although the food was fairly good, the staff was surly and acted as if the customers were an interruption to their day. Seated near the kitchen, I heard the employees talking about and making fun of customers who had just left. In addition, the place was dirty and smelled bad. All in all, not a good experience

Great place for breakfast. It wasn't busy at 9am on a Sunday. Our server was so nice and the French toast was delicious! We definitely will be back the next time we visit town!

Food was really good but they were out of many things and we were there at noon. I think I got the last of the hummus for my wrap, hubby couldn't get the black bean quesadilla because no black beans and there and he couldn't get the Turkey sandwich because no Turkey. Service was a bit slow, and just know it is cash only. Lots of that in the area.

Nice little place on the main drag. I had the bagel with smoked cheese and crispy bacon (needs the egg to complete it, which I later ordered) my gf got the Granny Gear Up. She loved hers and wolfed it down in 30 seconds. Service was fine. No “for sale” sign, nothing tasted like cleaning supplies. Would def go here again. Prices are very reasonable.

Stopped in with my Brother for breakfast in October 2016 while I was up from Florida visiting my home state of West Virginia. Best Eggs made to order, pancakes, home fries and hot tea I’ve had since I left WV for the Navy in 83. Brother has been there since and breakfast has always been great.

I used to frequent this spot. In the past, I'd enjoyed the food and the feel.Today, however, I stopped in for a bite and have regretted the decision. The service was fine and my food was on the table quickly, but...My food tasted like grill cleaner, and my stomach is wrecked. I don't think I'll be returning to Flying Pigs, sadly.

Went to this area a for a weekend getaway and wanted to eat somewhere local Sunday for breakfast/lunch. We decided to try this place after looking at the menu and saw that they were open til 2. Once we arrived around noon, we were greeted with their closed sign being lit up. Thinking this may be a mistake and forgot to turn off (cause we could see people inside at tables) we went into the restaurant where the lady behind the counter told us that there were indeed closed 2 hours before their normal closed time and no explanation why. So much for supporting local businesses

Prices are higher than listed here but more importantly the service is very slow. Our party of 8 saw meals being served as others in our party we're finished eating. There were only two other diners in the restaurant. Also, in terms of manner, I hope we caught our server on two consecutive off–days. Only option in Thomas. Drive 3 minutes to Davis. Food is perfectly fine here at Flying Pig.

Some of the best coffee I've had in a while, but my toast was burnt black and breakfast burrito was a bit bland. I enjoyed the service and the ambiance, so all in all very good pit stop while passing through.

Nice place for some breakfast. But if you're a high maintenance kind if person from outside Appalachia, this is a local type of restaurant. So don't expect any frou frou kind of food.

My kids loved the pancakes here!!! I had the breakfast burrito and it was very good. Little bit spicy which was just right!!! Great atmosphere and lovely little place. Will stop on our way through here again.

Walked in with my family to immediate ignorance was yelled at right from the get about how they was busy and to many of us that they can’t serve us definitely will not be going back to such irritable people establishment.......... Don’t deserve the one star had to give them one to post this!!!!!!!!

A great experience for our family. We stayed at Canaan Valley resort and loved visiting the small towns. This place is kid friendly and the food was delicious. Reasonable prices and great coffee.

Good breakfast spot in Thomas that serves good old food. I'm sure the lunches are reasonable as well. The service was a little hit or miss but I think a new person may have been starting as a server and wasn't quite at full speed yet.

Stopped in for lunch w our friends. The place is cash or check only, which is fine, but we were going to have to walk a block to the ATM. Sat down and ordered drinks but then decided it wasn't for us. Tried to pay for our drinks, only to be met by an extremely rude server who seemed to be mad that we weren't staying to eat. Truly more of just a breakfast place w only a few lunch options. Won't be going back.

Stopped in for lunch w our friend, who posted previously. We actually went to the ATM and it did not work, despite this the owner was extremely rude and no understanding that we don't carry cash. He forgot to mention the inappropriately dressed cook with her belly showing. She emerged from the kitchen in her dirty sweat pants to leave a half eaten piece of sausage on a plate for the waitress at a table next to us. I'm all for mom and pop places, but I'm out when it comes to this kind of service

Place was super cute. Stopped here for breakfast. Good home-made, very filling food. Cheap. Would recommend for a quick breakfast/lunch. Offered gluten-free and vegetarian options.

Simple breakfast options. All homemade.

I love the food and I love the character of the place. The women that own it are awesome too. The menu is just slightly eclectic and loads some delicious changes into what might be standard fare for a breakfast and lunchery. The cornbread is made fresh in house and incorporates roasted corn and sweet red peppers to what would be a stellar offering even without the twist. Everything is like that. Little twists and surprises that offer just a little something unexpected. Always delicious. This is truly my favorite restaurant in all of WV!

I personally had a great experience. The pancakes, bacon and eggs were excellent, the prices were reasonable, and my server was friendly and attentive. Will be coming back if I'm ever in the area again.

Good breakfast menu

We like the place, food was good however it seems customers are not appreciated much. We arrived at 804 am sign said closed, the lights were on inside , my friend and I were trying to determine if place was open. Our server from the day before walks up and says we'll be open when the sign says we're open,(in a not nice voice) yet the morning before the same sign was showing closed and this same server was unaware that the sign showed closed and was happy we came in and told him . Just not the way to treat customers.
